Aggie and I loved photographing this fun filled and super relaxed South London wedding. Real vintage dress, 100s of colourful paper cranes hand made by the groom, hilarious speech by the best man and so much love! Here is a selection of my favourites from the day. LOVE STORY AND THE PROPOSAL

Neal and I met online in 2011 and our first date was a chilled Sunday afternoon drink - which turned into eight hours of talking and laughing. We both just really clicked and got on so well. After dating for just over a year we moved in together and got engaged a few years later in December 2015. We were engaged for a year and a half to give us time to save up. We also knew that I would be a full time student completing my PGCE in the one year run up to our wedding in July so Neal volunteered to take on most of the planning - something that I am eternally thankful for! Me going back to university for a year also meant that our wedding would have to be planned on a tight budget. Luckily neither of us wanted a big lavish wedding so this suited us just fine!

WEDDING PLANNING

We met and had both lived in London for years so having our wedding in our favourite city and home felt right to us both. Neither of us being religious, we started looking for a non- church venue in South London that had character and charm. We found The Old Library at Dulwich College quickly and as soon as we went to view it we booked it then and there. We both just loved everything about it; it’s charming architecture, it’s beautiful high ceilings, it’s baby grand piano, and it’s intimate, warm feel. We then set out looking for a pub nearby that could cater for 80 people! We won the lottery with The Rosendale; being only a 10 minute walk from the venue and having it’s own beautiful Victorian charm, private side garden and large function room upstairs - it was perfect. Sue and the other staff at the Rosendale were just fantastic; from our very first meeting, to our food tasting, and setting up the room the night before for us - nothing was too much trouble.

THE DRESS

I had no idea what sort of dress would suit me so started off at a traditional bridal shop and tried on different styles. Although I could see that the dresses were beautiful I quickly started to realise that I just didn’t feel comfortable or myself in a traditional bridal dress. A few months later, after doing some research and finding her online, I went to Elizabeth Avery vintage Bridal shop in Greenwich with my friend and bridesmaid Laura.
