Being London wedding photographers we absolutely adore when
couples draw their inspiration for the wedding theme from our historical and
full of character city. We love taking photos of all the little details so
carefully designed and planned to match on the day and this wedding was filled
with wedding inspiration from fantastic London Underground Map table plan to
cool monochromatic stationery set designed by Clare’s father. London skyline
was a common motif also used on ribbons, napkins, menus and signs. There are no
better venues to match the London theme than London pubs and the Parcel Yard at
King’s Cross Station was indeed a perfect place. Located in Grade I listed
building that used to be Great Northern Railway parcel office it has been
beautifully restored maintaining many original features. It is also right next
to Harry Potter’s shop and 9 ½ platform if you are a fan! The atmosphere of the
pub is very cosy and intimate with warm light and candles – perfect for a
relaxed winter wedding, is not?! Oh and the food was divine!
Clare and Andrew used to live in Camden and have a special
attachment to this location hence both the engagement shoot and the wedding ceremony at St.
Michael’s Church took place there.
For our portraits we jumped in a London Taxi and drove to
St. Pancras International – we love artistic wedding photography and the
architecture of the rail station provided a unique backdrop that was still in
line with the London theme.
After cake cutting (and hilarious moment when the cheese
layers wobbled dangerously), Clare and Andrew had their first danced followed
by a party. So much fun and it seems that all guests joined in with their
party moves! That is your wedding goal, Ladies and Gentlemen!
