If you have never been to the Conservatory at Barbican Centre, you must go there soon. What a magical place – huge post war concrete structure with surprising tropical garden inside its heart . This place is worth a visit or planning a wedding there!
I am pleased to present you with a selection of photos from this DIY, retro inspired wedding of Natasha and Thomas who chose this unique location for their big day.
It was a lovely warm wedding filled with love, surrounded by a big bunch of friends and family. The little details that create an atmosphere of the wedding were carefully planned to match the theme colours. Wherever I looked I could see something that a friend or a family member had created especially for this day: tables decorated with origami paper flowers hand made by the brother of the bride, vases made by friends, dry petal confetti on the tables, little flowers tied to hand packed favours crocheted by the bride AND a totally original and meaningful wedding cake made by the Mother of the bride. Absolute masterpiece. The tree symbolises the family and the two small cakes extending on the side were made separately to accommodate for special dietary requirements. Everything was thought of and cared for on this day. I shall not forget about the band led by Thomas’ Best Man Alex!
Natasha looked stunning in her retro wedding dress with a net headpiece. The bow on her dress, you can guess, was handmade by the Mother. Thomas complemented his navy suit with a retro wool tie in theme blue colour and original vintage cuff links.
This stunning wintery bouquet, boutonnières and all flower decorations were arranged by Natasha’s Auntie.
Congratulations Natasha and Thomas!
