The Dilston Gallery, a Grade II Listed building, is one of London’s most distinctive wedding venues. Built in 1911 as a mission church for Clare College Cambridge, it is one of the first poured concrete structures in England. Designed by the renowned architects Sir John Simpson and Maxwell Ayrton, it was hailed as "the finest modern church in South London" upon its opening. After the church closed in the early 1950s and was fully deconsecrated, it was used in the 1970s as artist studios by Royal College of Art students. Since 1999, Southwark Park Galleries has established a reputation for hosting ambitious, experimental, and multidisciplinary works by contemporary artists.
Now licensed to host weddings and civil partnerships, the Dilston Gallery offers a unique, historically rich atmosphere for your special day. As a local and experienced Dilston Grove wedding photographer, I am excited to see that Dilston Grove is reopening up bookings for weddings in summer 2025 and initial enquiries for summer 2026!
Bookings are for a 2.5 hour period for ceremonies only and can take place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays on the dates and times below.
Fee: £1,000 + VAT
Dates: 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 June 2025 // 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 July 2025
Times: 10am-12.30pm, ceremony at 11am // 1.30-4pm, ceremony at 2.30pm // 5-7.30pm, ceremony at 6pm

As an introvert, I know how you might feel in front of the camera - I promise no awkward, cringy or stiff poses. I want you to be you, with a bit of my help, to feel at ease! Ah, and I am mega quick! I can create a set of portraits in as little as 10 min! I may steal you for another 10 min at golden hour though. You'll love a little break away from the crowd. Plus, as an experienced Dilston Grove photographer, I know how to work with this space and light to create the best photography for you!

When I’m behind my camera, I’m on the lookout for raw moments, peals of laughter, happy tears and original dance moves. As well as unique portraits, you’ll have a varied and vivid collection of docu-style shots of your guests and the riotously good time they’re having on your wedding day. When you flip through your gallery, you should be transported back to this very special day - they should make you smile every time you look at them. An album bursting with joy, so to speak. My photography is inspired by analogue photography, cinematic composures, architecture and light!

Jo is an incredible photographer and a wonderful person - she made us and our guests feel so comfortable. We were married at Islington town hall and she was so efficient at getting all the right angles and shots. There wasn’t a single photo that we didn’t like - out of about 400!!!!
