1901 Ballroom Wedding Photography at Andaz London

If you’re searching for elegant and timeless 1901 Ballroom wedding photography, this stunning London venue offers the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable celebration.

Nestled just steps away from Liverpool Street Station, the 1901 Ballroom is one of the city’s hidden gem – combining historic grandeur with modern luxury.

A Dream Venue: Andaz 1901 Ballroom Wedding

What stands out to me about an Andaz 1901 Ballroom wedding venue is the contrast it does so well. The ballroom itself is rich in character, with its art deco interiors, high ceilings, and beautifully preserved historic details-  it has that unmistakable old-world London feel. And yet, step outside of it and you’re met with the more modern, design-led spaces of the hotel, which bring a completely different energy to the day.

For Emily and Mark, that mix really mattered. They wanted something that felt elevated but not overly traditional, and the combination of classic architecture and contemporary style gave them that balance. The day could move effortlessly between spaces – ceremony in Bishopsgate Room, drinks in the Bar, dinner, and party in the 1901 Ballroom – without ever feeling disconnected.

From a photography point of view, Andaz Hotel is a dream to work in. The ballroom gives you that timeless, editorial backdrop, while the modern areas of the hotel offer varied, more relaxed feel. It means the gallery naturally has depth – something polished and elegant, but also fresh and current.

Relaxed Luxury Meets Unforgettable Celebration

Emily and Mark envisioned a wedding day that broke away from tradition – something relaxed, luxurious, and centred around celebrating with their closest friends and family. Their Andaz wedding photography perfectly reflects this vision.

From the very beginning, the day was filled with energy, laughter, and effortless elegance. Champagne flowed, the food was exceptional, and every moment felt genuine and unforced. It wasn’t just a wedding – it was a full-on celebration. And what a party it turned out to be.

The couple also did not want to spend much time away from the guests (or posing), so we nipped out for a quick walk around the corner from Andaz Hotel. The strong wintery light was exactly what I needed to create some editorial, yet gently guided portraits in a few minutes.

Capturing the Magic: Andaz London Wedding Photographer Perspective

It was my first work as Andaz London wedding photographer. The natural light of 1901 Ballroom, grand interiors, and varied scenery create endless opportunities for stunning imagery. We cannot forget about the marble staircase!

Emily looked absolutely radiant, and Mark couldn’t take his eyes off her. Every detail – from the décor to the candid moments on the dance floor – came together beautifully. Their trust made it possible to document the day authentically, resulting in a collection of images that truly reflect the spirit of their celebration.
