Mandarin Oriental Wedding Photographer

Tamara and Alex’s wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Knightsbridge was effortlessly stylish and full of heart. As a Mandarin Oriental wedding photographer, I loved capturing the beauty of this iconic London venue. With its grand Edwardian architecture, views over Hyde Park, and a long history of hosting royalty, it’s the perfect setting for couples who want a wedding that feels both timeless and personal.

The day began with Tamara getting ready at one of the spacious and grandiose suites together with her bridesmaids and Mum Lina, who made sure that everything went well and on time!

After exchanging vows in the grand ballroom, Tamara and Alex made their picture-perfect confetti exit through the royal entrance (which is normally closed per the late Queen’s orders and a special permission must be sought).

As we had a beautiful sunny day, we walked across the road to Hyde Park for some relaxed portraits and group photos.

Drinks reception and wedding breakfast

The guests were treated to a garden terrace reception, complete with champagne and canapés, whilst a string quartet played in the background.

The exquisite dinner interlaced with heartfelt speeches was held in the grand ballroom. The evening transitioned seamlessly into a lively celebration, with music and dancing that kept the energy high. Do check this Mandarin Oriental wedding photography story, so you can see their day in detail.

It was my pleasure to accompany Tamara and Alex in their wedding journey – from an engagement shoot in their local Battersea Park, to spending all day together capturing their love, to producing multiple fine art albums for them and their families.

Client Experience

”The photos are AMAZING – we look at them daily – they bring me so much joy. The photos are stunning and really capture the energy and happiness of the day. Jo is so incredibly calm and patient. It felt like I had a close friend by my side on the day.”

Being a Mandarin Oriental wedding photographer for this celebration was such a joy. I loved how the venue blends timeless luxury with natural beauty – Hyde Park just steps away, and all that classic London elegance inside. My approach is always to focus on the real stuff: the stolen glances, the bursts of laughter, and all the small, meaningful details that make your day yours. I aim to capture everything in a way that feels romantic, elegant, and most of all, true to you.
