My experience at this wedding was truly special. The trust the couple placed in me to capture the essence and cinematic feel of their day was incredibly rewarding. It allowed me to blend my technical expertise with my creativity, resulting in a mix of documentary and styled photography that told their unique story. I approached each shot with intention, carefully considering every moment rather than just clicking the shutter without thought. It really helped that I have a vast experience of working at the Old Marylebone Town Hall and can produce a variety of photos in the limited time allocated for each couple.

I’ve always found it important to have open and honest conversations with couples about their photography priorities. Whether they prefer to stay out of the spotlight (which I totally understand as an introvert myself!), focus on the finer details, or capture the lively moments with friends and family, I take the time to listen to what matters most to them. Sometimes, I’ll receive moodboards that don’t quite align with the couple’s initial priorities. That’s why I always make sure to clarify, especially when there’s a mix of stylized, editorial shots that require more time and direction—when, in fact, the couple may have only wanted a documentary-style approach.

Ultimately, my goal is to work closely with my couples to ensure their wishes are met, and their vision for their day is brought to life through the lens.
