I am exciting to share this truly special wedding at the Beckenham Place Mansion in South London. This was no ordinary wedding – a small, very intimate day to celebrate Bethan and Jacob’s love and relationship. With a relaxed documentary style, I focused on authentic moments to capture this Beckenham Place Mansion wedding photography story.
The couple skipped the usual traditions to reflect their personalities. Instead, they focused on quality time with loved ones—enjoying great food, good conversation, and celebratory toasts. No dress code, no three-course meal, no formal order of the day. Instead, there was a gorgeous flowery midi dress, rich autumnal florals, cocktails before and after the ceremony, speeches on sofas, ‘nuclear martinis’, cheese galore, strolls in Beckenham Place park, spontaneous photos, and kisses in the moonlight.
Uniquely, the happy couple walked down the aisle to Bo Burnham’s “All Eyes on Me,” each escorted by a parent. The lyrics perfectly echoed their excitement and nerves. It even left the registrars slightly flustered – but as a fellow Bo Burnham fan, I loved it.
Here is a selection of my favourite photos taken at Bethan and Jacob’s wedding at Beckenham Place Mansion.
”We simply cannot thank Jo enough – she took the most amazing and special wedding photos for us. She completely exceeded our expectations and we would recommend her to absolutely everyone without a seconds hesitation! We are a couple, and family, who tend to shy away from the camera, and who rarely like photos of ourselves…we are stunned that these beautiful photos are of us. Jo has a remarkable ability to put even the most camera shy at ease, and capture you at your best. We were so taken with Jo’s subtle documentary style method to photography, which avoids the traditional staged shots we were worried about having to endure before we found her. Jo’s photos perfectly capture the story of our wedding day. She didn’t miss a single moment – and also captured some incredible moments we weren’t even aware of’.”

”We had a tiny wedding of less than 20 people, but Jo seamlessly fitted into the family, and everyone from friends to parents have commented on how lovely she was and how much they enjoyed speaking with her and getting to know her throughout the day. She was a relaxed, calm, fun and overall brilliant person to share our day with. Everyone needs Jo at their wedding. Her photos are the kind which will bring huge smiles to our face for years to come.”
