I love such juxtapositions – industrial, alternative, and very trendy East London wedding venues and extremely stylish and naturally chic couple. The getting ready happened in the heart of City of London – The Threadneedle Hotel and the wedding ceremony was conducted in The Richmond Room at historic Islington Town Hall.
It may not be apparent from these photos immediately, but Leanne and Colin were the luckiest with regards to the weather on their wedding day. Their wedding ceremony ended together with a thunderstorm and heavy rain that drummed angrily during the exchange of vows, which, by the way, was the most emotional and beautiful moment I have ever seen. Both bride and groom wrote personal vows that were meaningful, exciting and so powerful that I was not the only person shedding a tear or two then. The rain came back when while were on the bus and again during the dinner. Each time we went outside it stopped!
After the ceremony, a Red London Bus took us to a very unique East London wedding venue: Bistrotheque. Industrial decor and low light bare bulbs set an atmosphere, while Rebecca from Heart Shaped Weddings made sure the tables were as stylish as it gets with candles, running foliage, and carnations in clear bottles. Hand written place cards were accompanied by the most awesome idea: polaroid pics with each guest + bride or groom!
The party continued at St Barts Brewery in Farringdon.
I photographed this wedding alongside the great Gary from Marshal Gray Photography.
