Elopement Photographer in London

Want to elope to London? Dream of having a luxury micro wedding in the city?

If the mere idea of an enormous, conventional wedding makes you break out in a cold sweat and head for the hills (or better yet, onto a train to King’s Cross), then a tiny London elopement might be exactly what your heart wants. Eloping nowadays isn’t about keeping it on the down-low or secrecy – rather, it’s about building a day that is all about you. That might be just the two of you, or a stylish celebration with 10-20 of your closest friends and loved ones.

Being an elopement photographer in London specializing in micro and intimate weddings, I’ve had the honour of capturing love stories across every borough in London. The perfect city for an intimate yet photo-perfect celebration because of its historic charm, sophisticated venues, and world-famous iconic landmarks.

Here are my top 10 London licensed venues for elopements and micro weddings (click on photos to see real elopement and micro wedding photography)

Top 10 London Venues for Elopements & Micro Weddings

1. Old Marylebone Town Hall

A favourite for modern romantics. Elegant ceremony rooms from intimate to the spacious Westminster Room, stunning columns, and those iconic steps make this a dream location. This Grade II listed building is located in the heart of Marylebone, surrounded by quintessential London streets, mews and historic architecture, perfect for post ceremony photos.

The popular rooms for micro weddings and elopements:

The Marylebone Room

The Soho Room

The Knightsbridge Room

The Mayfair Room

The Pimlico Room

The Paddington Room

2. Islington Town Hall

Bright, art-deco vibes with light-filled rooms and many spots for photos in the corridors. Great for stylish elopements, micro weddings and medium sized weddings in historic Council Chamber.

You can exchange vows in:

The Angel or The Cannonbury Rooms – for true elopements with only two witnesses present

The Mayor’s Parlour – 4 guests

The Room 99

The Richmond Suite

The Council Chamber

3. Chelsea Old Town Hall

The venue’s ornate facade and Victorian features are perfect for classic wedding photos.   Chelsea Old Town Hall is a walk away from my favourite picturesque London bridge – the Albert’s Bridge!

The most popular spaces for elopements and micro weddings are:

The Rossetti Room

The Brydon Room

The Harrington room

4. Asylum Chapel, Peckham

Raw, artistic, and atmospheric. This Grade II listed chapel with decaying walls and stained-glass windows is a favourite for couples looking for something truly unique.

5. Hackney Town Hall

Art Deco architecture meets versatile spaces. Both the Atria and Council Chamber are showstoppers, but many smaller weddings take place in the Committee or Lanchester Rooms.

6. 10-11 Carlton House Terrace

Nestled between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, this Georgian townhouse is one of London’s most elegant wedding venues. With sweeping staircases, high ceilings, and views over The Mall and St James’s Park, it offers an exclusive setting for intimate ceremonies and stylish micro weddings. I love the Music Room!
