Agnes and Mort’s garden wedding – it was the perfect mix of stylish and laid-back, and one of those days when you just feel the love everywhere. They tied the knot at a lovely little church near Agnes’ parents’ home in Kent. The weather started off a bit moody, but just as the ceremony ended, the skies cleared, and we got the most amazing confetti shower and fab light for the rest of this garden wedding photography. Timing couldn’t have been better!
The outdoor drinks reception was set in Agnes’ parents’ gorgeous garden, complete with props made by the family’s own company, which added a really personal touch. Garden weddings are perfect to set up all kinds of fun for the guests: table tennis, a crisp wall, a photo booth, and even a bit of footie (yes, the Worldcup match stream sneaked in during the evening – the penalty shootout was not to be missed). The drinks were flowing, and champagne glasses were never empty! The marquee dinner had such a relaxed vibe, with heartfelt speeches bringing happy tears all around.
Agnes looked absolutely AMAZING! Her minimalistic dress paired with golden slip-on heels and bold lipstick was effortlessly chic. And the bridesmaids? They rocked bold red and orange dresses – such a fantastic choice for this year’s weddings. The whole day felt like a dream garden party, with everyone simply enjoying themselves. Whether it was striking a pose for me, playing ping pong, dancing like crazy, or mingling in the afternoon sunshine, the guests brought so much energy and joy to the celebration.
I work mostly in London, but I do take a few commissions a year in other locations, and it was fab to photograph a garden wedding in the nearby Kent. Having photographed Agnes’ brother’s wedding a few years ago (TK and Ruby’s wedding was amazing too), it was so special to see familiar faces and feel like part of the family. I kept things natural and documentary style as always, focusing on those genuine moments that make a wedding day unforgettable. Big shoutout to my assistant, Justyna, for helping on the day and capturing some excellent shots.
