Best London Wedding Photography 2025 | Nostalgic Film Moments

As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on a year that felt especially meaningful – both professionally and personally. Working exclusively in my home town, this collection represents some of my best wedding photography in London (though I do not like the term- so subjective!), captured across London town halls, exclusive hotels, cosy pubs, and creative spaces. Focusing solely on London weddings allowed me to give every couple consistent, thoughtful care throughout the year, while also creating space for a healthier balance between work and time with my family (it is nice to jump back on the tube and be home in my own bed too!). From relaxed city ceremonies to intimate, candle-lit weddings, 2025 became a year defined by trust, artistry, and couples who deeply valued my empathetic and candid storytelling – particularly through the timeless beauty of (35mm) film.

A Return to Film: Nostalgic Wedding Photography in 2025

One of the biggest joys of this year was seeing so many couples embrace film wedding photography. Whether chosen as a thoughtful add-on or as a featured medium for their day, film became a powerful storytelling tool in my collections. I have always been drawn to the analogue nostalgia – the softness, the texture, grain, the way colours and light feel more emotional than perfect. In fact, I learnt photography with film cameras, and it is amazing how after a shift towards perfection of digital photography, unparallel focus capabilities of mirrorless systems, we are full circle back to the gritty, unpredictable and very vintage vibes again.

Iconic London Wedding Venues That Defined the Year

Living and working in London means I get to photograph weddings in some truly iconic spaces. As a wedding photographer London couples trust, it was a joy to return to many of my local favourite venues this year – each offering its own character, atmosphere, and sense of history.

From the infamous elegance of Old Marylebone Town Hall, art deco Islington Town Hall, and popular Chelsea Old Town Hall, to the industrial energy of Trinity Buoy Wharf and Shoreditch Studios, and the warm, intimate charm of pub weddings at the Lordship and Camberwell Arms, these venues allow for relaxed, yet creative wedding photography in the city. Shooting at the Barbican Conservatory before its refurbishment was also incredibly special, with its lush greenery providing a beautiful contrast to the Brutalist concrete jungle around. It was amazing to be back at Brunswick House too – historic, antique filled venue in the heart of skyscraper filled Vauxhall in South London.

Creative Wedding Photography for Modern London Couples

What made 2025 so special wasn’t just the locations – it was the people. I worked with couples who were diverse, artistic, and deeply connected to one another. From some of the best London wedding venues – like Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings, to elegant celebrations at hotels like The Landmark, The Hoxton Holborn, and Andaz, every wedding told a completely different story.

This is where creative wedding photography truly comes alive. No stiff poses – gentle guidance to get the best artistic and nostalgic imagery. No forced moments. Just honest, documentary-style images filled with laughter, movement, and emotion. The real magic always happened in the candid moments – a glance, a squeeze of the hand, a burst of laughter.

Best London Wedding Photographer Moments: Trust, Emotion & Modern Style

Being trusted to document these days is something I never take lightly. The couples I worked with in 2025 gave me creative freedom, allowing me to photograph their weddings in a way that feels authentic and collaborative. That trust resulted in imagery that feels deeply personal. My selection of photos to share here is a subjective collection of special moments, photos that pop up from the collection, lots of in between moments that I love the most. It is a set of memories – some I am simply proud I produced given the unpredictability of film photography, in a fast paced environment of weddings, changeable weather and low lit venues.

If 2025 reinforced anything, it’s why I love being a London wedding photographer for couples who value artistry over trends, feeling over perfection, and storytelling over staging.
